Global Virtual Symposium on

Streptococcus Research & Diseases

April 27-28, 2026 Eastern Time (US & Canada) | Online

About the Conference

We are delighted to announce the Global Virtual Symposium on Streptococcus Research & Diseases organized by Impact Research Communications, taking place online on Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28, 2026. This symposium will provide a valuable platform for microbiologists, clinicians, epidemiologists, and public health professionals to share and discuss the latest advances in basic, clinical, and translational research on Streptococcus biology, pathogenesis, and disease management.

Streptococcus is a diverse genus of bacteria that includes both commensal and pathogenic species affecting humans and animals. Pathogenic Streptococcus species, such as S. pyogenes (Group A strep), S. agalactiae (Group B strep), and S. pneumoniae, are responsible for a wide range of illnesses—from mild throat and skin infections to life-threatening diseases like pneumonia, meningitis, sepsis, and necrotizing fasciitis. These infections remain a major global health concern due to their high transmission potential, evolving antibiotic resistance, and capacity for severe outcomes.

The symposium will explore key aspects of Streptococcus research, including mechanisms of colonization, virulence factors, host–pathogen interactions, and the immune response. We will also highlight the latest developments in diagnostics, vaccines, antimicrobial therapy, and strategies for controlling Streptococcus-related outbreaks.

By bringing together leading scientists and early-career researchers, this event aims to foster collaborations that advance our understanding of Streptococcus infections and support global efforts in prevention, early detection, and effective treatment.
